Interestingly the EA app would close/crash the moment the workaround is performed and refuse to open until the Sims 4 is closed. Good to know, thank you for sharing this! Electronic Arts semi-recently made it so people who don't play on mac HAVE to play with the EA app. The problem is, it's never worked.
