I haven't had it able to sync without downloading a csv file and taking out the items with multiple variations and uploading them to Square. At that time, I quit trying to sync to work on building up my inventory with Etsy.

But if you have to collect sales tax in your state, you must set up/enable taxes in Square, as what you have set up in your shop, and the Etsy marketplace requirements to collect do not apply with in-person sales.
